Clubs

Toastmasters first appeared in Angola at international oil companies who had created Toastmasters clubs in other countries. These clubs worked as a complementary tool for the development of communication and leadership skills of its own employees.

Cascatas TM (BP’s corporate club) is the oldest Toastmasters club in our country. It clubs was created by a team of angolan employees who saw this as an opportunity of professional and personal development. The club was chartered in 2016.

Inspired by the impact of Toastmasters on BP’s employees, Exxon Mobil’s employees decided to do the same. A year later Kizomba TM (Exxon Mobil’s corporate club) was created.

Following the existing demand for community clubs for the general population, the launch of Toastmasters Luanda is being preparared for what will be the first club open for everyone in our country.

Nowadays, the creation of new clubs is underway both in Luanda as in other cities and provinces. More and more corporations are seeing Toastmasters as a powerful tool for their employees and some individuals started sponsoring the creation of community clubs open to general population.
